Custom Facials. Are they really Worth It?

background 1
Unfortunately, there is so much misinformation out there, and it’s easy to be influenced by marketing and social media on what you “must have” for your skincare routine. Please don’t fall into our culture of overconsumption; instead, let a professional help you with what you need instead of wasting money on what you don’t.

How often should I get a Facial?

That depends on the type of facial you are getting, but a standard exfoliating and hydrating facial at least once a month to maintain optimal skin health. Facials primarily targeted facials for specific concerns can be spaced out sooner together at first until the problem dissipates; then, they can be spaced out longer with proper home care and maintenance. If you are using skincare with professional actives, your professional treatments should last longer and improve your results, allowing you to space out facials even more. Of course, facials have more benefits than skin improvement, which can be relaxing and provide a fantastic massage, but I live in the real world, and I understand life gets in the way, and sometimes things come up. Bottom line… get facials when you can as consistently as possible, but home care is the most important.

Are Facials Safe for Pregnancy?

Yes, there are many facials safe for pregnancy. There are just some ingredients that you should avoid since pregnancy skin can be more reactive, sensitive, and not respond effectively to specific treatments. Ensure all ingredients and procedures are done to protect the fetus. A properly trained and licensed professional will know what is and isn’t safe during pregnancy and will have many options to protect and enhance that pregnancy glow safely ✨

Are Facials Worth It?

Yes, so much, yes. Now I will say I’m totally biased since I’m a licensed esthetician and certified laser technician, so skin is pretty much my life so it would be messed up for me to say otherwise, but I genuinely believe facials or skin treatments from professionals can change your skin for the better. I understand the real world and the reality of many people’s financial situations. Still, I believe treatments and advice from professionals regarding skin will save you money in the long term. I personally have wasted so much money on countless products that either didn’t make a difference in my skin or made the condition of my skin much worse. Licensed estheticians, dermatologists, and other skin care professionals have access to knowledge and products with research-based actives that will make the most significant difference in your skin short term and long term.
